Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Sunday, March 2, held bilateral talks with his Namibian counterpart Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
Netumbo is the incoming Namibia’s president after winning the presidential election on December 3, 2024.
The 72-year-old is scheduled to be Namibia’s fifth president and the first woman to hold this position.
During the meeting, Kindiki and Netumbo discussed areas of mutual interest and strategic partnership between Kenya and Namibia.
They also discussed ways to elevate the relations between the two countries to a new level and strengthen their ties to boost engagements in various economic fields.
Kindiki flew to Namibia on Friday to represent President William Ruto at the state funeral of the country’s founding president Sam Nujoma.
