Kingdom Bank has expanded its footprint with the opening of its 24th branch in Bungoma Town, marking another milestone in its mission to deepen financial inclusion and empower small businesses across Kenya.
The new branch, located at the Yogi Building along Moi Avenue, is strategically positioned at the heart of Bungoma’s bustling commercial district to serve traders, farmers, and entrepreneurs in the region.
Bungoma, a key transit and agricultural hub near the Malaba border point, plays a vital role in Kenya’s economy through trade and cross-border business.
The county is also known for its strong agricultural base, producing maize, sugarcane, peanuts, and bananas.
To support this vibrant sector, Kingdom Bank will offer tailored agricultural financing, including asset financing for tractors, farm machinery, and equipment to enhance agribusiness productivity. The branch will also serve the healthcare and hospitality industries, providing credit lines, trade finance, payment collections, and cash management solutions.
Additionally, the Bank plans to expand access to Faidi Dada, its flagship women-focused banking solution, through Chwele Market — one of the region’s largest open-air markets.
Speaking during the launch, Kingdom Bank Managing Director Anthony Mburu said, “We are pleased to establish a presence in Bungoma, a county with immense potential across agriculture, health, trade, and hospitality.
This branch reflects our strategic positioning as the MSME Bank, dedicated to delivering flexible and affordable financial solutions.”
Customers in Bungoma will benefit from in-branch services, Kingdom Bank’s digital platforms, and Co-operative Bank’s ATMs and Co-op Kwa Jirani agents across the country.
The Bungoma branch is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding market share and reinforcing Kingdom Bank’s goal of becoming the financial partner of choice for MSMEs and retail customers nationwide.
