Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has emphasized the importance of effective and transparent communication in keeping citizens informed about the government’s development agenda.

Speaking on Monday after meeting with bureaucrats, political leaders, and other stakeholders, Prof. Kindiki said the Kenya Kwanza administration is working to streamline how government policies, programmes, and projects are communicated to the public.

“The Government appreciates the importance of timely, accurate and regular communication of its policies, programmes and projects to ensure that the public is kept abreast with what the Government has done, is doing, and intends to do to actualise implementation of the development agenda,” said the Deputy President.

Kindiki noted that two and a half years into office, the Kenya Kwanza administration remains firmly on track to deliver on its manifesto, adding that each promise is being tackled “chapter by chapter, clause by clause.”

He said the government is keen on building a communication framework that is coherent, clear, and easy for the public to understand—bridging the gap between policy formulation and citizen engagement.

“We met with various teams to harmonise the communication of the Government’s agenda so that Kenyans are well informed about the progress being made,” he stated.
