Renowned Kikuyu Benga musician Peter Kigia is mourning the untimely death of his son, Ken Kìrehù, whose body was discovered in Kigio, Gatanga after he had gone missing for nearly two months.

The late Kìrehù was last seen on March 18, and a frantic search by family and friends followed his disappearance.

His lifeless body was finally found this week, sparking grief and questions surrounding the circumstances of his death.

The discovery has plunged the celebrated artist’s family into mourning, with fans and fellow musicians sending messages of condolence and support to the grieving family.

Peter Kigia, known for hit songs like Gaceri Murati” and ‘Kimumunyanio”, is considered a trailblazer in the Kikuyu music industry.

The tragedy has cast a dark cloud over the music fraternity, with many describing Kìrehù’s death as a painful loss.
