Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura has congratulated Kenyan environmental advocate Truphena Muthoni for setting a new Guinness World Record, applauding her for using the platform to highlight the impact of climate change on persons with disabilities.

In a statement, Mwaura described Muthoni’s record-breaking feat as “highly admirable and commendable,” noting that her motivation goes beyond personal accomplishment and reflects a deep commitment to inclusive climate advocacy.

“The fact that your motivation is to advocate for the adverse effects of climate change on persons with disabilities is not only highly admirable but commendable,” he said. “It goes to show that the mainstreaming of disability issues into development is beginning to take centre stage.”

Mwaura praised Muthoni for championing a cause that often receives limited attention, saying her achievement has amplified the need to integrate disability considerations into national and global conversations on environmental action.

He further congratulated her for placing Kenya on the global map through a record that merges activism, awareness, and resilience.
