Kenyan TikToker Nyako, who is based in Germany and known for her bold personality and unfiltered commentary, has once again ignited conversation, this time exposing how TikTok’s gifting is turning ordinary fans into millionaires.
Speaking on her TikTok platform, Nyako urged followers to stop promoting millionaires, pointing out every tap, rose or digital gift sent during TikTok live streams translates into real money for creators.
Her remarks followed content creator Marylinda sharing her personal matters through the TikTok live, urging her to take care of her unborn child.
Nyako’s criticism shows the imbalance of fans who struggle financially yet give their resources to influencers who are taking advantage of them.
She encouraged viewers to rethink how they support creators financially: “Check how these TikTokers earn everyday on Tikleap. Be mean with what you have, you are promoting millionaires who are stingy. They can’t help you,” she said.
Her comments have sparked mixed reactions from TikTok users, with some surprised and agreeing with her while others felt she was jealous, trying to force the audience into believing that generosity is genuine support.
Her remarks come with disagreement regarding Nyako’s criticism of Marylinda conduct during pregnancy, with Nyako accusing her of less self-care instead of focusing on her health.
“Take care of your baby; you are pregnant and always on live, not even doing exercises,” Nyako urged her on her TikTok live. Fans have been left questioning on themselves whether they are truly supporting their favorite creators or simply fueling their journey to becoming millionaires
