Kenya is set to make its debut at the inaugural World AbilitySport Games, scheduled for 17–24 November 2025 in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Thailand, with a team of two wheelchair para fencers and eleven athletes in track and field.
AbilitySport Kenya Federation president Agnes Oluoch expressed confidence that the team will shine on the global stage, noting their strong performance at the recent beach games in Turkey, where Kenya finished fourth out of 13 nations.
In wheelchair para fencing, coach Francis Kamau has named Ashley Autai and Milton Ilahuya to represent the country.
Para athletics head coach Malik Mwabondo has assembled a mixed squad of promising young athletes and seasoned competitors. His field-event selections include:
- James Mangerere (F57) – Javelin, Shot Put
- Samson Kamau (F57) – Discus
- Nathan Kemboi (F46) – Javelin
- Pamela Osano (F44) – Shot Put, Discus
- Sylvia Olero (F44) – Shot Put, Discus
- Nelly Sile (F55) – Javelin
On the track, Mwabondo’s lineup features:
- Teresia Ndeto (T37) – 100 m, 200 m, 400 m
- Vincent Mutai (T46) – 400 m, Long Jump
- Joseph Karanja (T38) – 100 m, 200 m, 400 m
The four-day global competition will bring together 423 athletes from 38 countries across five continents, with events taking place at His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Sports Complex in Korat, northeastern Thailand.
