The Kenya School Health Summit 2025 has officially opened in Mombasa, bringing together key stakeholders from the health and education sectors, private organizations, and development partners to promote the wellbeing of over 20 million school-age children across the country.

Organized by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and other partners, the summit seeks to strengthen school health programs and policies, recognizing that a healthy learner is key to quality education and national development.

“Investing in school health is investing in our future,” read a statement from the Ministry of Health, emphasizing the government’s commitment to integrating healthcare services within the school environment.

The three-day forum will explore strategies to improve nutrition, mental health, disease prevention, hygiene, and reproductive health education in schools, especially in underserved areas.
