The Kenya women’s national netball team successfully defended their title at the Singlife Nations Cup after defeating hosts Singapore Vandas 55–42 in the final at the OCBC Arena in Kallang, Singapore, on Saturday morning.

The six-nation tournament, featuring Singapore A, Singapore B, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Isle of Man, and Kenya, showcased Kenya’s growing strength on the international netball stage.

The victory also reinforces the team’s ambition to qualify for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, a dream that Federation Secretary General Millicent Busolo says is “steadily becoming a reality.”

The triumphant team is expected to arrive back in Nairobi on Monday, with plans already underway to resume training immediately in preparation for their next major challenge — the 2025 Africa Netball Championships set for December in Malawi.

According to Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) General Secretary Yamikani Kauma, final confirmation of the venue is expected soon, with matches likely to be staged either at the newly built Griffins Saenda Indoor Sports Complex or the Blantyre Youth Centre.

Kenya’s back-to-back Nations Cup triumph marks another milestone in the country’s renewed netball resurgence and serves as a strong statement of intent ahead of a busy year for the team.
