Kenya and Libya have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture, trade and other areas of mutual interest as the two countries seek to expand economic opportunities and market access.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi met bilaterally with Libya’s Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H. E.Al, Taher Salem Al, Baour. They discussed how to strengthen relations between Kenya and Libya.
Highlighting on the importance of partnerships, Mudavadi said stronger partnerships within Africa are crucial to unlocking the continent’s economic potential, increasing intra, African trade and improving food security.
The discussions centered on the enhancement of cooperation in agriculture and trade to open up new opportunities for business, farmers and investors while broadening markets between the two countries.
The PCS also urged Libya to support Kenya for the two judicial candidates aspiring for seats in international courts.
The Judges include Phoebe Okowa who is Kenya candidate for election to the ICJ for the 2007-2036 term and Justice Njoki Ndung’u who is Kenya candidate for election to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
