President William Ruto had bilateral discussions with President of the Gabonese Republic His Excellency Brice Oligui Nguema at State House Nairobi, after the Africa Forward Summit event held at Kenyatta International Confress Center ( KICC). The two heads of state agreed to strengthen cooperation in education, peace and stability.

Speaking after the meeting, President Ruto said that the key to an viable future for the continent is the unity of all African leaders and marked it as the strongest foundation to face the future of this continente.

He also added that “Africa must be united in purpose, bold in vision and determined to determine the destiny of the continent through African solutions to African challenges.

“Unity of African leaders is the firmest foundation required to secure the future of the continent. It is therefore crucial that leaders be united in purpose, bold in vision, and determined to shape Africa’s destiny through African solutions to African challenges.” he remarked


Kenya and Gabon committed to open more scholarship opportunities for each other’s students, improve technical and vocational training programmes and foster knowledge sharing programmes targeting to prepare Africa’s young population for the continent’s development.

President Ruto also reiterated Kenya and Gabon’s support for African led peace initiatives on the continent. The two countries will continue to support the efforts to silence the guns, save lives, and create conditions fit for dialogue, stability, and development, he stated.

“Our two nations remain firmly committed to African-led initiatives that silence the guns, protect civilians, and create the conditions necessary for dialogue, stability, and sustainable development across the continent.” said Ruto
