Athletics Kenya President and World Athletics Vice President Jackson Tuwei has been named the Administrator of the Year 2025 by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA).
This prestigious accolade recognizes Tuwei’s outstanding leadership, which has been instrumental in elevating Kenya’s profile as a global athletics powerhouse through the successful hosting of World Athletics Gold Label events.
Among these flagship competitions are the Kip Keino Classic, the Sirikwa Classic Cross Country, and the Chepsaita Cross Country, each attracting elite international talent and reinforcing Kenya’s reputation on the world stage.
Under Tuwei’s visionary stewardship, Athletics Kenya (AK) also assembled a formidable squad for the Tokyo World Championships, where the nation achieved a remarkable 11-medal tally, seven gold, two silver, and two bronze, finishing second overall behind the United States, who topped the standings with 26 medals.
