Mathare United handed KCB their first defeat of the 2024-2025 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season, edging them 1-0 at Dandora Stadium.
Meshack Ochieno was the standout player, scoring the decisive goal in the 55th minute, marking his first goal in the top tier and securing Mathare’s third win of the season.
Mathare’s goalkeeper, Michael Wanyika, made several crucial saves in the second half to keep KCB from equalizing.
Despite the absence of four suspended players due to disciplinary issues, Mathare managed to secure the victory.
KCB still leads the league table with 17 points, followed by newcomers Mara Sugar with 14 points, while Mathare sits in fourth place with 11 points.
