Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) is set to formalize a partnership with the Upper Tana Nairobi Water Fund Trust (UTNWFT) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a ceremony marking World Water Day.
East African Breweries PLC (EABL) had in 2023 made a Kshs 190 million commitment towards the
restoration of water towers in Kenya to help mitigate the effects of climate change, reduce
carbon emissions and reduce water scarcity.
The event will take place at the Water Recovery Plant, Tusker site, starting at 8:30 AM.

The agreement underscores KBL’s commitment to sustainable water management and conservation efforts, particularly in safeguarding Nairobi’s water supply.
Through this partnership, KBL and UTNWFT aim to enhance water conservation initiatives, improve watershed management, and support communities that depend on the Upper Tana basin for their water needs.
The MoU aligns with KBL’s broader sustainability agenda, ensuring responsible water usage in its operations while contributing to the long-term preservation of vital water sources.
