Reverend Kathy Kiuna has reignited one of Jubilee Christian Church’s most meaningful ministries, the Men’s Breakfast, in honour of her late husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna. The programme, which had been a significant part of Bishop Allan’s ministry, focused on nurturing and empowering men in their spiritual walk and personal development. Now, months after his passing, Kathy is taking the lead to ensure his vision continues to flourish.
In a heartfelt message to her followers, Kathy opened up about the emotional journey of relaunching the initiative. She described it as a bittersweet moment—painful yet deeply fulfilling. Though stepping into his role comes with great responsibility, she expressed her determination to walk in her husband’s footsteps, supported by their sons and a community of spiritual children. For Kathy, the Men’s Breakfast isn’t just a gathering—it’s a continuation of her husband’s calling to shape strong, godly men.
The relaunch was filled with symbolic elements that echoed Bishop Allan’s spirit and mission. Kathy reflected on how excited he would be before each session and how he gave his all to make each one meaningful. She remembered the impact his teachings had on the men he mentored—many of whom now lead ministries of their own. The legacy he left behind, she said, is still alive and growing.
Taking on the responsibility wasn’t easy, but Kathy embraced the moment with courage and grace. She described her late husband as a “great General” and acknowledged the honour of having walked beside him. Though the journey forward will be different without him, she made it clear that the mission is far from over.
Bishop Allan Kiuna passed away on July 9, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Since then, Kathy has remained devoted to keeping his dream alive. By reviving the Men’s Breakfast, she is not only honouring his memory but also pushing forward the work they once built together—empowering lives and strengthening faith, one gathering at a time.
