It has been 10 months since Kareh B, the renowned musician, lost her 17-year-old son in a tragic bus accident that shocked the nation. The accident, which involved Chavakali Boys students, claimed her son’s life and left dozens of others injured. As the anniversary of his passing approached, Kareh B took to social media to remember her son, expressing her grief and seeking justice.

In a poignant Facebook post, Kareh B shared her heartbreak, writing, “It’s been 10 months without you. We should have been celebrating your holidays, eagerly planning your future in aviation. Instead, I am left with the memories and 17 doves for my Dulo.”

Her son was among the students involved in the fatal crash along the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway, which occurred late at night while the bus was on its way to Nairobi after the school term ended. Witnesses reported that the driver lost control at the Mamboleo roundabout in Kisumu, causing the deadly crash.

In the post, Kareh B voiced her frustration and demanded answers from the authorities, questioning why students were allowed to travel at night. “Who approved this? Why were minors traveling in the dead of night?” she wrote. She also raised concerns about the lack of response from government officials regarding the tragedy, questioning their silence and the safety of students on the road. “Will you continue to ignore these tragedies and let more children suffer?” she asked.

Despite the deep pain of losing her son, Kareh B remains determined to seek accountability and honor his memory. “I need answers. Go well, my son,” she concluded, keeping her commitment to ensuring justice is served.
