Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has accused unnamed actors of attempting to interfere with the Magarini by-election, warning that his party will not allow the will of the people to be subverted.

In a strongly worded statement on Wednesday, Kalonzo said residents of Magarini had already demonstrated a clear and unwavering choice in favour of Wiper candidate Stanley Karisa Kenga.

“The people of Magarini know the direction they want their future to take, and their confidence in Stanley Karisa Kenga is unshakeable,” Kalonzo said.

He alleged that there were “brazen attempts to rig the by-election,” but maintained that the electorate had spoken decisively and that Wiper would closely monitor the process to prevent any manipulation.

“One thing remains clear: Magarini has spoken with clarity and conviction, and we will protect the will of the people,” he added.

The Wiper leader urged supporters to remain calm and avoid confrontation as the party continues to defend what he termed as the people’s voice and vote.

“Let us remain vigilant, peaceful, and united as we safeguard that voice and vote,” he said, calling for restraint as tallying and verification continue.
