Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has unveiled a new leadership team within his administration, marking what he termed a renewed commitment to effective governance and improved service delivery.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Kahiga announced the appointment of Mr. Edward Irungu Mwangi as the new County Secretary, alongside Mr. Nahashon Mung’ora (Chief Officer, Governor’s Office), Mr. Zephania Mbaka (Chief Officer, Economic Planning), and Mr. Stephen Kioni (Chief Officer, Finance and Accounting).
”I wish the incoming team all the very best as they immediately embark on their duties. With great emphasis I reminded them that the number one task of each and every Officer in this great County is to be of service to its people to the very best of one’s ability,” he posted.
The appointments, according to the governor, followed a competitive and rigorous recruitment and vetting process conducted by the Nyeri County Public Service Board and the County Assembly.
Governor Kahiga, who was accompanied by his deputy David Kinaniri, urged the new officers to serve the people of Nyeri with dedication and integrity, reminding them that “the number one task of each officer is to be of service to the people.”
He said the appointments are part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and accountability.
