Renowned Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone has been hospitalized, sparking concern among his fans and the music community.

The Leone Island Music Empire boss was rushed to the hospital on December 12 after suddenly falling ill. A video shared online showed the visibly unwell artist, appearing distressed, being escorted into the hospital by his manager. He was transported on a stretcher, raising alarms about his health, which had been a cause for concern since 2023 when he was bedridden for weeks due to serious health issues. At that time, Chameleone had been hospitalized in the United States while attending his son’s graduation, with his father, Gerald Mayanja, revealing that the musician had been struggling with recurring stomach complications.

After weeks of treatment, Chameleone made a full recovery and resumed his musical career. However, this latest health setback has left fans and well-wishers worried.

In response to growing concern, Chameleone’s management team issued a statement assuring fans that the artist is receiving top-notch medical care and expressing hope for his recovery.

The statement read: “We understand that the news of Jose Chameleone’s hospitalization may have caused concern. Please rest assured that he is receiving the best medical attention, and we are hopeful for his recovery. We kindly ask for your understanding and respect for his privacy during this difficult time. We will keep you updated on his condition and appreciate your ongoing support and prayers.”
