Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni now says that unless addressed, the current disunity in the opposition will guarantee President William Ruto a second term in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking on Monday, Kioni explained that there are two warring groups in ODM; ODM A, which is truly in opposition and ODM B, which has resolved to back President Ruto and will support his re-election bid.
Also, the former MP pointed out that there is also disunity in the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. He said there is UDA A which is supporting Ruto’s agenda and UDA B which has aligned itself with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and is currently opposing the government.
Kioni said the confused two units, ODM B and UDA B, are the ones likely to guarantee Ruto a second term of five years in the next elections.
" It is very clear in my mind that if this confusion that they have brought into the opposition continues, President Ruto will secure another five-year term in 2027," said Kioni.
