A Jambojet aircraft was damaged last night after it rolled off the ramp and collided with a pole while undergoing maintenance at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
In a statement released this morning, the airline confirmed that the Q400 aircraft was undergoing routine overnight maintenance when it unexpectedly rolled and hit a pole, causing damage to its nose.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
“We are working closely with the relevant authorities to investigate the incident and implement all necessary measures to prevent a recurrence,” Jambojet said.

The incident has raised concerns about safety protocols at the airport, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the mishap.
