Reports have emerged online claiming President William Ruto is set to privately meet Chief Justice Martha Koome at the State House in Nairobi.
The rumour claimed the purported meeting would solely focus on the case filed by the former deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua, challenging his impeachment.
During the meeting, the poster claimed Koome would seek clarification regarding alleged interference in the judicial process by State House operatives.
"Chief Justice Martha Koome will meet President Ruto on Tuesday to discuss alleged intimidation of judges by Statehouse operatives over Gachagua's impeachment cases," read the poster.
However, the Judiciary has debunked the claims, stamping the circulating graphic, manipulated to be seen to originate from a reputable media outlet, as fake.
The Judiciary asked Kenyans to disregard the information.
