Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is reportedly considering purchasing Liverpool FC, one of the most renowned clubs in English football.
This news surfaced during an interview with Times Radio, where Musk’s father, Errol Musk, was asked about his son’s potential interest in acquiring the Premier League powerhouse.
“I can’t comment on that right now; they’ll just raise the price,” Errol said with a laugh when questioned about the potential deal.
With an estimated net worth of $425 billion, Musk has been a key figure in numerous high-profile investments and innovations. However, when asked for more details, Errol remained vague about any ongoing talks.
“Well, yes, but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it,” he clarified. “He’d like to, of course. Who wouldn’t? I would too!”
Errol also shared an emotional connection between the Musk family and Liverpool, revealing that Musk’s grandmother was born in the city and that their family has ties to The Beatles, with members of the family growing up alongside some of the iconic band’s musicians.
