The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has successfully concluded a high-level training session with the official launch of a Regional Parliamentarians Working Group on Agrifood Systems.
Building on two days of capacity building, IGAD advanced to the institutional phase of the training by initiating the establishment of a Regional Parliamentarians Working Group on Agrifood Systems.
Over the course of two days, Parliamentarians and Ambassadors from across the IGAD region participated in intensive capacity-building sessions aimed at enhancing legislative engagement in the agrifood sector.
The training culminated in the institutional phase of the initiative, where the group engaged in in-depth discussions and formally adopted the draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for the newly established working group.
