Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah has linked Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s allies to the recent anti-government demonstrations.
Ichung’wah was responding to Gachagua’s apologists who, during a rally in Nairobi on Friday, accused him of undermining the DP.
However, taking to X, Ichung’wah accused Gachagua’s camp of financing and executing the June 25 demonstration against President William Ruto’s government.
"The owners, financiers and executors of the 25th June attempted civilian coup have regrouped. If you were looking for the treasonous criminals who infiltrated the otherwise peaceful and legit demos, look no further! Are they planning a new round of violence? Can’t place it far from them. Napenda Kenya na Amani tu," said Ichung'wah.The National Assembly Majority Leader has repetitively called out Gachagua over his alleged tribal politics and not supporting Ruto’s agenda.
