A house fire has claimed the life of a middle, aged man from Bibirioni village in Limuru Constituency. Fire, which engulfed a five, roomed house, occurred in the early hours of the day.
According to the locals, the fire started while the man was still inside the house, hence, he got burnt in hiding as the fire spread so fast in the house. The firefighters who rushed to the scene could not control the fire because when they arrived the situation was already out of control and therefore the house was completely burnt down.
The police officers who came to the scene have opened investigations to determine the cause of fire. The body of the deceased was later brought out of the rubble as the shocked neighbors looked in.
Officials have call on the public to always be the first to report fire cases in the areas and to follow the safety measures so as to avoid re, occurrence of such incidents.
