Kenyan debutants Nairobi United have been placed in Group B of the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, where they will face some of the continent’s most seasoned sides — Wydad Casablanca of Morocco, AS Maniema Union from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania’s Azam FC.
The group stage is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of November 21–23, 2025, with two matchdays to be played before the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
The competition will then take a short break for the continental showpiece, before resuming on the weekend of January 23–25, 2026.
Reaching the group stage marks a historic milestone for Nairobi United. A remarkable achievement for a club still in its early years.
After earning promotion to the SportPesa Premier League last season, the team stunned many by winning a domestic double, lifting both the National Super League and the Mozzart Bet Cup. Their impressive form continued in continental qualifiers, where they sealed their place among Africa’s elite.
Now, Nairobi United will aim to extend their fairytale journey against some of Africa’s most experienced clubs, using the group stage as the ultimate test of their growing stature and ambition.
