Looking ahead, the government plans to construct 1,891 km, rehabilitate 515 km, and maintain over 89,000 km of roads, backed by a development budget of KSh. 158.3 billion and a recurrent allocation of KSh. 73.8 billion.

Eng. Mbugua emphasized innovative financing solutions, including Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), to bridge funding gaps and deliver projects aligned with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

The proposed budget presentation hearings provided a platform for public participation, ensuring citizens have a voice in national planning and resource allocation.
