The Ministry of Education has assured students, staff, and parents at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) that efforts are underway to resolve the ongoing industrial action efficiently.
Principal Secretary for State Department for Higher Education and Research Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, said a Technical Committee has been formed to engage stakeholders and develop a Recovery and Sustainable Strategy for the university.
“The issues under discussion require careful consideration to ensure a long-term solution that upholds stability while minimizing disruptions to learning. The Committee continues to consult extensively with university management and other key stakeholders to facilitate a fair and lasting resolution,” she said.
The government remains committed to ensuring stability in higher education while minimizing disruptions to learning. Negotiations continue through legal frameworks and governance structures.

“The Ministry urges all affected parties to allow ongoing negotiations to proceed, emphasizing the importance of constructive dialogue in resolving the matter,” the statement from her office reads.
“Students are encouraged to remain patient as discussions progress, with the assurance that every effort is being made to restore normal operations without compromising academic integrity. Further updates will be communicated as the resolution process advances.”
