Socialite and influencer, Gloria Ntazola of Kenya, has caused a stir online after she shared an emotional post of her decision to cut ties with her family to protect her peace and mental health.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Gloria revealed that she had made the difficult decision to block all her family members including her parents and siblings after feeling emotionally exhausted and unappreciated.
“Today, I am going to make a very harsh decision. I’m blocking all my family members, starting from my mom, my dad, my brothers, and my sisters. I’m blocking everyone,” she wrote.
The outspoken socialite later explained that her family relationships had become mentally draining, and she felt used and misunderstood.
“I want to disassociate myself from them because they will get me depressed. I’m so tired of taking care of ungrateful people. They drain me and take away everything and make me look like the bad person,” she added.
But in the emotional outburst, Gloria did not hold anything back, confessing that she felt utterly exhausted:
“My family drain the sh*t out of me.”
Her revelation quickly went viral, sparking conversations about toxic family dynamics, boundaries, and self-care across social media. Some of her fans empathized with her decision, stating that she was very brave to finally prioritize her mental health; others admonished her for publicly airing her family problems.
