Kenyan content creator Flaqo is celebrating a major achievement after his hit show, Kwa Akina Otis, was officially picked up by NTV, securing a coveted spot on the national network. The show will air every weekday at noon, offering fans a daily dose of comedy, entertainment, and the infectious laughter that Flaqo has become known for.

The multi-talented content creator, who gained fame for his memorable character Mama Otis, an iconic and tough African mother, shared the thrilling news with his followers on social media. Expressing his gratitude, Flaqo reflected on his remarkable journey, saying, “My biggest inspiration has been my growth story, and I thank God for making the future Flaqo my current biggest inspiration. Thank you 411 Productions for holding me down since day one. I always dreamed of acting on a program, but I never imagined owning a program on TV. His grace is so sufficient.”

Kwa Akina Otis has captured the hearts of viewers, mainly because of the relatable and hilarious portrayal of Mama Otis, a character Flaqo attributes to his own mother. “Mama Otis, in a way, is actually my mum,” he shared. “At first, she wasn’t a big fan of the character because she felt I was revealing her identity to the world. But she’s since come around. My dad was also unenthusiastic about the idea, but he eventually gave me the benefit of the doubt.”

Despite the immense success, Flaqo has faced curiosity regarding his sexuality, particularly due to his portrayal of a feminine character. Some viewers speculated that he might be gay because of his piercing and the character’s feminine traits. Flaqo, however, addressed these assumptions with humor, saying, “Honestly, I know some people are waiting for me to come out! But I’m not coming out from anywhere. I’m straight. What I do is just entertain people. When I take off Mama Otis’ clothes, it’s just me, Flaqo. There’s nothing feminine about me at all.”

From humble beginnings to securing his own TV show, Flaqo’s journey is a testament to his hard work, determination, and ability to connect with audiences. As Kwa Akina Otis airs daily at noon on NTV, Flaqo’s unique blend of humor, authenticity, and storytelling continues to resonate with fans across the nation.
