The Hustler Nation Intelligence Bureau (HNIB) agents have revealed that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been holding late-night meetings with Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, aimed at increasing his influence within the government and exerting pressure on President William Ruto.
Our investigations have revealed that Gachagua has presented a series of demands to the President in these meetings.
Among his key requests is the dismissal of key figures within Ruto’s inner circle.
He has called for the removal of Farouk Kibet, the President’s trusted aide, as well as the ousting of Kimani Ichung’wa, the Majority Leader in the National Assembly. Gachagua is also pushing for the expulsion of Dennis Itumbi from State House.
In addition to personnel changes, Gachagua is reportedly seeking control over a confidential fund of KSh1.6 billion, insisting on greater financial oversight and disclosure.
This demand is seen as part of his strategy to solidify his authority and enhance his political leverage despite the increased calls for a cease tribal based politics.
Our source has revealed that Gachagua’s demands extend beyond government officials.
He has requested the appointment of nine clergy members from mainstream churches to key positions, including Principal Secretaries and chairs of government boards.
This move is viewed as an effort to gain the backing of religious leaders and secure their influence within government structures.
Further, Gachagua is pushing for vernacular radio hosts to be appointed as Directors of Communication within various ministries, aiming to strengthen his communication outreach, particularly in the Mt. Kenya region.
This coming amidst Activists in Rift Valley asking Gachagua to stop divisive politics focusing on Mt Kenya and champion national unity.
Additionally, Gachagua has proposed a series of joint rallies in eight towns across the Mt. Kenya region, signaling his intention to maintain a strong political presence in his home base.
He has also called for a formal agreement to be signed between himself and President Ruto, solidifying their partnership and outlining their respective roles and commitments.
