Kenyan actress Dorea Chege and her fiancé DJ Dibul have responded to fresh rumours circulating online, alleging that their relationship involves gender-based violence. The claims surfaced on social media after a series of unverified posts suggested that Dorea was “assaulting” Dibul a narrative that quickly caught fire among gossip pages and online audiences. But instead of addressing the claims with anger or long explanations, the couple chose humour and subtle shade.

Dorea took to Instagram with a cheeky message that instantly went viral: “I’m looking for a taekwondo trainer? Any recommendations?” The actress clearly used sarcasm to mock the rumours, signalling that she wasn’t taking the allegations seriously and perhaps hinting that people should stop dragging her name into baseless GBV claims. Fans flooded her comments, many laughing at the witty jab and praising her for refusing to be shaken by online noise.

DJ Dibul also chimed in, reacting with equal parts amusement and confusion. He wrote: “Siku hizi unaingia online unapata unatrend na hujui Weh! Umewahi jipata ukitrend na uko clueless?? Anyway padre ako sawa.” Translation: “These days you go online and find yourself trending without knowing why. Ever found yourself trending and you’re clueless? Anyway, your boy is okay.”

His message downplayed the rumours and assured fans that he’s fine, flipping the conversation back on those spreading the allegations. The couple has faced social media storms before including cheating accusations earlier this year but they have consistently appeared united. In previous interviews, Dorea stated that it’s “us against the world till the wheels fall off.”
