Detectives in Kakamega are tracing the roots of a surprising domestic incident in the Lumakanda area that resulted in the death of a 39, year, old man after a violent fight with his wife.
According to police, Moffat Munubi who’s been having quarrels with the wife came home with a 20 liter petrol jerrycan after which an altercation ensued.
The deceased is then said to have poured the petrol on himself before assaulting the wife with a hammer and attempted to murder her but failed.
This is what was left at this homestead following an altercation that saw 39 year old Moffat Munubi meet his death. The couple is said to have been having constant disagreements and altercations, after the man accused his wife of having a child outside matrimony. Locals didn’t however see the altercation turning deadly
The deceased’s wife luckily survived the murder attempt by her husband after being rescued leaving the man inside this homestead where he unfortunately died
Authorities have subsequently launched investigations into the incident, as the community comes to terms with the incident that has left many in shock.
