Tanzanian music megastar Diamond Platnumz continues to redefine the value of African music performances after commanding an astonishing KSh 908 million for a single show at a high-profile wedding in Zambia.

The Lusaka-based event, characterized by extreme opulence and a guest list packed with Africa’s elite, saw the celebrated artist deliver an electrifying performance. Diamond, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul Juma, remains one of the continent’s most bankable entertainers, and this massive payday cements his position at the top of the industry.

This is not the first time the superstar has been handsomely compensated for private shows. His previous performance at a coastal wedding in Kenya earned him over KSh 129 million, where he shared the stage with fellow Bongo artists. However, the Zambia event marks his most lucrative gig to date.

The staggering figure highlights a growing trend of African artists commanding international-level fees and gaining increasing recognition across the continent and beyond.
