President William Ruto on Friday, November 8, had a lengthy phone call conversation with the United States of America President-elect Donald Trump.

This follows Trump’s election in the hotly contested presidential poll, in which he trounced Vice President Kamala Harris.

In their conversation, Ruto congratulated Trump for emerging the victor and discussed areas of mutual interest that benefit the citizens of the two countries.

This includes trade and investment, security and good governance.

"I briefed President Trump on the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti and possible areas of cooperation with the US government on this important conflict resolution initiative," said Ruto in an X post.
