Content creator and comedian Dem Wa Facebook has thrown her weight behind fellow entertainer Sammie Kioko after the latter shared an emotional post detailing his struggles and frustrations online.
In a touching message that he shared on Instagram, Dem Wa Facebook referred to the visible emotional exhaustion of Sammie Kioko and said:
“For over three weeks now, we’ve all watched Sammie Kioko pour out his pain online, and each day, his voice sounds heavier, his spirit dimmer. It’s heartbreaking to witness someone who has worked so hard, who has given his all, reach a point of visible exhaustion and still be met with silence.
She went ahead and lambasted those in power for turning a blind eye to the situation, urging accountability and compassion.
”What’s more painful is to know those who can make things right choose to look the other way. How much longer will this silence last? Does someone have to be completely broken before we decide to care?”
Dem Wa Facebook called upon the County Government of Machakos to take responsibility and act swiftly to address the concerns of Sammie Kioko, calling on leaders to truly “support the youth” rather than use the phrase for slogans. Her message ended with a powerful reminder:“Let’s not wait until it’s too late. Compassion means taking action now.”
The post has called for fair treatment of artists who continuously inspire and entertain despite struggling financially and emotionally.
