The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mr. Mohamed I. Amin, today officiated the closing ceremony of the Senior Investigations Officers’ Seminar for the second cohort of 40 detectives at the National Criminal Investigation Academy (NCIA).

In his address, Mr. Amin emphasized the need for continuous learning and adaptability in the face of rapidly evolving crime threats. “With the crime landscape evolving at an unprecedented pace, complacency is not an option,” he said, urging officers to stay ahead of threats through enhanced expertise and strategic thinking.

The Director highlighted emerging challenges such as financial crimes, terrorism, cyber-enabled offences, and transnational organised crime, calling for innovative and collaborative approaches to tackling them.

He thanked the NCIA leadership for successfully delivering the transformative training, which focused on both investigative and leadership skills.

Also present were Deputy DCI Director Mr. John Onyango, NCIA Commandant Mr. Sospeter Munyi, and Director of CRIB Mr. Dennis Okadapao.
