Public service cabinet secretary Geoffrey Ruku is calling on public servants to uphold the highest standards of professionalism as they go about their duties of serving Kenyans.

Speaking in Laikipia West Constituency during a relief distribution exercise for families affected by recent fire incidents in Gatero and Muthengera.

“The government will not let citizens stand alone when disasters strike. The State Department for Special Programmes continues to provide disaster response and recovery services to Kenyans affected by droughts, fires, and floods across the country.” said Ruku.

The CS further dismissed what he`s calling attempts by the opposition to divide Kenyans along ethnic lines.

Ruku used the occasion to reaffirm the government’s commitment to standing with citizens in times of disaster, while also calling on local leaders to enhance community resilience and fire response mechanisms.
