The ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced plans to collaborate with the Communist Party of China (CPC) to establish a leadership academy.

This partnership was revealed following bilateral talks between UDA leaders and a visiting CPC delegation led by Li Xi, which took place on Monday in Nairobi.

The UDA expressed a commitment to enhance cooperation with the Chinese ruling party in areas of mutual interest.

“During the discussions, the CPC delegation, led by H.E. Li Xi, agreed to partner with UDA, particularly in the establishment of a Leadership Academy,” a statement from UDA noted.

The UDA delegation was led by party chairperson and Embu County Governor Cecily Mbarire, along with Secretary General Hassan Omar. The meeting included members of the UDA National Executive Committee, National Election Board, and other party officials.
