Charlene Ruto, daughter of President William Ruto, has found herself at the center of public attention after details of her upcoming traditional wedding surfaced online.
A save-the-card, leaked by a blogger, confirmed that Charlene will hold her ‘Koito ak Chaik,’ a traditional Kalenjin phrase known for a formal dowry negotiation and bride farewell ceremony that will be held on Saturday August 8, 2026.
According to reports, the ceremony will take place at the Ruto family’s farm in Kilgoris, where family members and elders are expected to conduct the dowry negotiations.
Details of the groom still remain unknown, as the public has already sent congratulatory messages to her, awaiting for the Saturday ‘Koito ak Chaik’ ceremony.
