“We have come here today to stand with the family of Boniface Kariuki. The nation is united in fury against Ruto’s careless and inhumane regime that cost an innocent young man his life and a family their breadwinner,” Kalonzo stated.
He emphasized that the United Opposition had already engaged legal teams to pursue justice for Kariuki’s family.

He also revealed that the matter has been taken up by the People’s Restorative Justice Commission, chaired by Speaker Emeritus JB Muturi, signaling the opposition’s intention to escalate the case through legal and advocacy channels.
“There will be justice as well as exemplary damages for Boniface’s family,” Kalonzo declared.
The visit comes amid national outrage over the alleged excessive use of force by police during demonstrations.
Human rights groups and protest organizers have pointed to Kariuki’s death as one of the most painful symbols of what they describe as a growing disregard for human life by state security agencies.
