Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has allegedly taken over The National Party (TNP) from former Thika MP Patrick Wainaina, popularly known as Jungle.
Sources privy to the deal reveal that Waiguru purchased the party about two months ago, signaling her plans to chart a new political path ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The governor is said to be eyeing the Kirinyaga Senate seat once her second term as governor ends, with TNP expected to serve as her new political vehicle.
