Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was among the politicians who graced the consecration and enthronement of the third Bishop of the ACK Nairobi Diocese, Ven. Canon Jonathan Kabiru.

However, Gachagua was dealt a blow after Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), announced that the former DP, together with other political dignitaries, including Kalonzo Musyoka, would not be allowed to speak.

Notably, while the Sunday, March 16, service was proceeding, Gachagua was streaming it live on his official Facebook page.

However, after Sapit announced that no politician would speak, this publication noted that the live link on Gachagua’s page was immediately disconnected.

This was unusual as he has been streaming other services to their completion, safe to say services where he has been allowed to speak, as verified by TUKIO.co.ke.

It is not clear why he disconnected this particular one or if it is connected to him being denied a chance to speak.
