Controversial Kenyan media personality Andrew Kibe has set social media buzzing after making a bold public appeal to his followers regarding the return of his popular show.
In a post shared online, Kibe cheekily asked fans to each send him KSh 50 if they want his show back on air. He even went ahead to share a phone number, humorously suggesting that collective fan support could help revive the show. In his trademark unapologetic tone, Kibe added that he was not interested in “painting goats different colours,” a phrase many interpreted as his way of saying he would only return under his own terms.
The post quickly gained traction, with screenshots circulating widely across social media platforms. The conversation intensified further after a fan identified as Maruti Fred sent Kibe a direct message urging him to “do something about returning your show,” declaring himself a big fan. The message appeared to reinforce the idea that despite Kibe’s controversial opinions and online persona, he still commands a loyal audience eager for his content.
Reactions online were predictably mixed. Some fans supported the idea, saying Kibe’s show brought a refreshing, unfiltered perspective to Kenya’s media space and that KSh 50 was a small price to pay for entertainment they enjoyed. Others, however, dismissed the appeal as unserious, accusing the former radio host of chasing clout or mocking his followers.
Andrew Kibe has remained a polarizing figure since his exit from mainstream radio, reinventing himself as a digital content creator with a strong following, particularly among younger audiences and men who resonate with his blunt commentary.
