The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has secured court orders for the forfeiture of assets worth KSh207.7 million belonging to a former accountant at the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and the Trans Nzoia County Government.

In a statement released on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the commission revealed that the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Court found that Andrew Biketi Musuya didn’t account for the net worth in excess of his legitimate income sources.

Order appealed the magistrate’s order of 8th October 2026 directed that the assets be forfeited to the Government of Kenya. Justice Rose Ougo passed the ruling.

The assets recovered consist of properties located in Mombasa and Bungoma with a combined value of KSh150. 2 million, bank, and M-Pesa deposits amounting to KSh53. 5 million, and two motor vehicles valued at KSh4 million.

The property includes two five-storey apartment blocks and a five, bedroom townhouse in Mtwapa, Mombasa County, and seven undeveloped plots of land in Mombasa and Bungoma.

The EACC probe findings showed that Musuya amassed wealth totalling to KSh289. 9 million comprising of land, bank deposits, and a fleet of motor vehicles from January 2013 to October 2018.

It had filed a case under Section 55 of the Anti, Corruption and Economic Crimes Act seeking to recover Ksh284. 1 million being the unexplained assets.

Still, the court noted that KSh207. 7 million couldn’t be accounted for and ordered its forfeiture to the state.

EACC said it will continue to fight to safeguard public resources so that they’re used for the benefit of Kenyans.
