Barbie has long been more than just a toy. Rock star musician Lenny Kravitz has stepped into that legacy, becoming the first musician to be immortalized in plastic in Barbie franchise.
He has officially named a Kenbassador. He is only the second man to receive a Ken doll model, following basketball player superstar LeBron James.
In 2025, Mattel announced that they were starting a Barbie Signature Kenbassador Collection, which would allow more male figures to be recognized in doll form, showing specific interest in “men who have made an outsized impact on culture.”

Kravitz shared his gratitude to Barbie, saying it carries an honor and deep meaning in his life.
“Barbie is an institution and as a kid growing up, I could not have imagined this. To be chosen by Mattel as a Kenbassador, only the second one in history, is an honor and absolutely surreal,” Kravitz said.
The doll itself resembles Kravitz’s signature style, dressed in a bronze-colored mesh cowl tank, bootleg denim jeans, boots, long dreadlocks and sunglasses, along with his jewelry tattoos, nose ring and his six-pack abs.
The signature Barbie Kenbassador Lenny Kravitz doll is now available for purchase through major retailers as well as Mattel Creations at a price of $ 70.
Lenny Kravitz is known for his music “Let Love Rule” and “Is There Any Love in Your Heart,” having released 12 studio albums, with the most recent album released in 2024 titled “Blue Electric Light.”
