President William Ruto shared a light moment with a woman during his interaction with beneficiaries of the Affordable Housing Programme in Bomet on Wednesday, September 9.
The moment happened as Ruto engaged residents during his inspection of the Bomet Affordable Housing Project.
The President noticed the woman attempting to leave the room and stopped her briefly to find out where she was going.
The woman explained that she needed to leave to attend to household chores including serving him( and guests) tea
Ruto later allowed her to leave, bringing a light moment to the otherwise formal engagement.
The exchange drew attention during the President’s visit as he interacted with residents who are set to benefit from the affordable housing programme.
Ruto was in Bomet as part of his four day tour of Bomet and Kericho counties, where he is inspecting and launching various government projects.
The President’s visit to the Bomet housing project comes as his administration continues to push the Affordable Housing Programme as one of its key development priorities.
The programme targets the construction of affordable homes for Kenyans while creating employment opportunities through the construction sector.
The Bomet project is among the developments Ruto is expected to highlight during his South Rift tour.
