Shabana FC has appointed Egyptian coach Ahmed Fathi Abdalla as the new head coach, making history as the first ever foreign coach for the team.
The 41-year-old will lead the team with his tactics from his previous role as an assistant coach as the team prepares for the 2026/27 Kenyan Premier League season, marking a new chapter for Shabana FC.

The Egyptian worked with Ghanaian Swedru All Blacks, winning 12 matches, drawing 9 and losing 13 last season. He was also an assistant manager at Bank El Ahly, Modern Future, El Gouna and Ismaily FC.
Shabana’s decision to bring Abdalla will unveils ambition, professionalism and the desire to stabilize the team’s technical direction. He is expected to improve the team from the previous season where they finished fifth with 52 points from 34 games.
For Shabana, this will re-establish their identity, strengthen their team and prove they can stand tall in the Premier League, with Abdalla expected to bring fresh ideas and international exposure that will reshape Shabana’s fortunes.
