R&B Singer Peabo Bryson

The music industry and R & B are mourning the loss of singer Peabo Bryson, who was known for his golden voice has died at the age of 75 on June 2nd .

Bryson was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and became famous in the 1970s and ‘80s with soulful love songs that gave a tender and heartfelt message. He has left a legacy that will need a bridge to be filled in.

Known for his music such as “Beauty and the Beast,” produced in 1991, collaborating with Celine Dion became a massive hit.  Later, he collaborated with Regina Belle, releasing “A Whole New World becoming the first song from an animated film to reach No.1. On Billboard’s Hot 100.

“We are tremendously moved by the outpouring of love, prayers and support from fans, friends and colleagues around the world. Our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Peabo was loved and how many lives were touched by his voice and generous hit,” Bryson family said in a statement.

His sound tracks in R & B showcased love stories and his voice carried warmth that made him recognizable and resonated with his audiences across the globe.

Bryson began his career as a teenager, singing backup with local group called Al Freeman and the Upsetters.

His voice behind the famous songs such as “Feel the Fire” and “Can You Stop the Rain,” inspiring many people in the 1990s and 2000s encouraging other singers to perform like him.

He won several awards, with his fit win being the Oscar-winning for the Disney film in 1991, where he performed the “Beauty and Beast.” In 1993, he earned his first Grammy for the Best Pop Performance. In 1994, he won another Grammy award for the Best Pop Performing for “A Whole New World” with Regina Belle.

He has left his wife and two children. His voice will forever be remembered in R & B music and Disney history, blending his soulful voice with a cinematic blend that made him unique.
